Below you will find the task sheets to complete both the Physical and Human Summer work.  You must hand in all the work on the first school day in September.

You will also find links to various resources which will help you during your geography course.  Get used to using Firefly regularly and there are lots and lots of different resources, tasks, links and videos to help you achieve the best possible result.

Transition work tasks

There are two separate task sheets for you to complete, one the physical side of the course and one for the human side.  You need to complete both tasks.

 It is very important to complete all of the work below before starting the course in September.  Not only does it give an idea of the type of work involved it will also help your understanding of the first sections of the course.

Tectonics - Topic landing page - these have the specification information, knowledge organisers and links to different the different enquiry questions.

Tectonics - Enquiry question 1 - Each section is split into different subsection.  You will find the relevant section of the specification, knowledge organisers, task sheets, revision overview videos and revision resources. This page will help you with your transition work.  You will also find links to pages for wider reading and assessment.

Specific information page - each topic is split up to make it even easier.  Again you find the relevant section of the specification, specific tasks, basic resources and wider reading / watching links.

Topic specific wider reading forums - these are great areas for finding and sharing articles, videos to help develop understanding of geography around the world and keeps your knowledge up to date.

Personal learning checklists - these can be updated regularly as you cover new topics and revise.  They can help yourself and teachers work out areas you need to work on to improve understanding and focus your revision to make effective use of time.

On line assessments - Each enquiry question has its own assessment page.  Many of these are on line so they are easy to complete and find detailed feedback.

For many of the topics there are short revision overview videos.  These can be useful to watch before, during and after completing the work to enable you to see the links between all of the individual lessons.
